A while back I came across, “The All 50 Club.” The All 50 Club is a project of “Travel Goal Getter” which is a community designed to tell stories and encourage individuals to travel. They host something called the All 50 Club, which is exactly what it sounds like, it’s a “membership” in the exclusive club for those who have visited all 50 states.
The “membership,” is fairly informal. This is more a community for individuals to share stories and encourage one another. There is a $12 fee for a lifetime membership if you wish to join and you’ll get an official printed certificate and your name listed on their website. Travel Goal Getter also lists some specific accomplishments like the youngest to visit all 50 states, individuals who have skydived in all 50 states, and others.
The fun tool that got my attention was the interactive map on the All 50 Club website. The map allows you to click on or off any state that you’ve visited. You can then save the map as a screenshot so you have something to look at and encourage you each day. While I’ve currently visited 48 of the 50 states, (Let’s go Alaska and Hawaii!) I’ve checked off just 21 states in the example below so you can see how the map turns from blue to red with each state you visit.
