Across the bridge from downtown Memphis is a park of sorts called, “Mud Island.”
They’ve got shops and a cafe and museum and outdoor concert venue. One of their most well-known attractions is a miniature version of the Mississippi River.
It’s carved into the pavement with water flowing through it and cities and towns etched into the adjacent sidewalk.
It’s a scaled down version of the Mississippi River, which the actual Mississippi River about a hundred feet away.
It’s an interesting concept and you can follow the Mississippi River from it’s Genesis all the way to the mouth in Louisiana.
