My business trip through Memphis had me staying at the Peabody Hotel, known far and wide for their ducks. As in actual ducks. Ducks live on the grounds and spend about half of the day actually swimming in the lobby foundation. Beyond that though, there’s a show each day. Every morning the ducks are actually marched from their home in a building on the room of the hotel.
They’re taken in the elevator and then upon exiting, walk down a red carpet and jump into the fountain. They’re actually trained to do that, and the show is enjoyable. It happens very quick and is over in about 10-15 seconds. So once they announce it’s starting, be sure to get your cameras ready.
I’ve been there! I saw the same show when I was about 13. That was a really fun trip 🙂
Fun experience right? It’s something you would never think you’d want to spend five minutes to see, but it was pretty cool.
